GOOD NEWS FOR BLACKBERRY USERS IN INDIA

Research in Motion (RIM) makers of Blackberry handsets had agreed to provide access to their data of messaging and enterprise to intelligence agencies of India. Indian intelligence agencies put the matter in front of RIM that data in encrypted form is not easy to crack, so terrorist groups can use this service to connect to each other which could possess threat to national security. Government of India gave the ultimatum to RIM till 31st of August and had demanded the access to the data send by the use of their messaging services. Now RIM will be providing data to the intelligence agencies which therefore will monitor this data for an interval of two months i.e., by 31st October. If the data provided by RIM is not satisfactory, then RIM has to locate its server in India too, which now is in Canada. Presently all the data goes to Canada where it is encrypted to almost unbreakable code which devoid security agencies to track any kind of data.
